Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Kakoli

All this talk about fish and chips...What's everyones favourite chinese/indian takeaway in the area?
I reakon the best ever Indian takeaway was Kakoli in Leven. Jo was the best chef ever, and should come out of retirement.

Re: Kakoli

You aint wrong mate I had a group from Mumbai over on an exchange visit once and they got took out for an "indian" in Glasgow and couldnt eat a thing. I took them to the Kakoli after a day out in edinburgh and got 15 meals which they raved about and even saved some to keep them going the next day when they went back to Weegie land. They even mentioned in in their going away speech. Pure class.

Re: Kakoli

Kakoli was the best by a mile and nobody in Levenmouth has come close since. Best one that I go to now is Fatima`s in Glenrothes.

Re: Kakoli

As long as you kept your health afterwards, you were doing alright.

Re: Kakoli

Tam's introduced me to the joys of Fatimas. Excellent food but, like the Kakoli, be prepared to wait a while.

As for Chinese, the New World in Markinch is tremendous.

Not had one bad dish out of there and their hot and sour soup is the tops

Re: Kakoli

Wok n Spice is excellent but a bit pricey

Re: Kakoli
