Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Preview of our new sponsors on next season's kits

Re: Preview of our new sponsors on next season's kits

I`ll take the home top, looks good imo.

Re: Preview of our new sponsors on next season's kits

I actually love the look of both kits. Think the away top should have black shorts instead of red and the sponsor for the away top (MTE) should be placed on the the middle of the kit. Still looking good!

Re: Preview of our new sponsors on next season's kits

A bit 2004ish for my liking. At least the Gold isnae lemon yellow on the plus front, and the sponsor's logo doesnae overwhelm the entire shirt as in 2002-03 and 2008-09.

Re: Preview of our new sponsors on next season's kits

I love them, especially the home.

My folks are coming over here at end of August, so hopefully they'll have one or both of the strips with them.

Agreed, both tops do look pretty good but the all red thing physcologically gives the team more height, the very reason ex East Fife player Bill Shankly changed Liverpool to all red. As for the sponsors position on the shirt, well done in following the Man City example and hopefully the comments on aftn, looks far better without covering the stripe.

Thanks for the positive comments folks and thanks to SPF for helping me get the images posted here.

Our initial design did have black shorts for the away strip but we were told to change it to meet the SFA/SFL requirements.

That's a shame. Will still look good I reckon! When do you think we'll finally be able to see the real thing?

You should have kept them and changed the home shorts to white..

Really like the blend of colours on the home strip sponsor. Nice and bright - will give me something to focus on during those winter mid-week games under the floodlights!
