Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

January

Am I right in saying that we have both Rob Ogelby & Mark Ridgers only until January? Is there an option to extend the loan deals to the end of the season?

Also would our current wage structure allow us to sign any of.. Ogelby, Ridgers or Park if Hearts continue to fall apart/lay players off in the coming months?

It looks like Hearts might be looking at these young players to take the place of more senior players who might leave the club in the new year if the wages dispute is not settled

It was in the paper last week that Park's been told he can leave. Would be a good signing? He may well feck off back to Oz tho.

.. if Matty's injury is serious he may not play again this season. Hearts are losing Balogh in January, in fact he is already back home in Hungary(?)so Ridgers will almost certainly be recalled.
Ogleby may have his loan extended though.

Well i am disgusted, i am going to buy East Fife FC on Monday so don't dare transfer the goalkeeper ok?

I thought we have got Oggy until the end of the season Im sure they will want to stay in Fife and be playing regularly as there is no reserve fixtures no more in the SPL, Hearts have a big squad like Celtic so Ridgers would be behind MacDonald, Kello & etc... and the way Hearts are in right now, they are better off at our club playing week in week out
