Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

I hear there is light drizzle forecast with a gentle south westerly breeze. This will mean of course that there could be a bit more mud in the car park than usual and some unpleasant smells coming from the general direction of Lumphinnans. Under these circumstances I would think there is no way any referee could allow the game to go on. Common sense really.

If by some miracle health and safety regulations are thrown out the window and the game does go on, I reckon it will be Cowden 4 East Fife 1 (Wallace).

I never usually predict because I let heart rule head.
However, head is in full control and there is no way we can lose this. 1-3 Wallace(2)Smith(1)

Cowden fans will continue to deny that drunks threaten away fans,coins and pies are thrown and 10-14 year old retards look for trouble. I just hope the policeperson who is on duty doesn't sleep in.

I'v never used this site before n this is the only thing about cowdenbeath im 18 and i'll be taken my grandad to the game a was just wonderin how bad it really is after reading stuff about lack of stewards or police ?

Best to sit in the stand rather than stand on the terracing. My daughter and myself left the terracing at halftime of the last game after having bookies pens, chips and coins landing around us. Quite intimidating with Cowden fans on either side of the Fife fans and the young neds behind us. For a long time there was no Police presence, just a couple of stewards who were not interested. Having second thoughts about going back.
