Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Bobby Linn

If there was ever any truth that other clubs were tracking Bobby Linns progress would now be the time to see if we could get some cash or a couple of experienced pros in exchange for him.
If the stories are true about him getting a much higher rate of pay than other team members would now be the time to channel that into win bonuses to see if that impacts on our results?

Re: Bobby Linn

Wouldn't think any clubs are in a position to buy players, even so for a Div2 player who is out of contract soon you'd be lucky to get 5k

Re: Bobby Linn

I'd argue that Wallace is the more likely to be picked up by a higher league side.

Re: Bobby Linn

Arbroath and Peterhead are both about to get a windfall from the cup games. I would suspect that Arbroath may be looking to strengthen for their promotion bid. Wallace, Linn and perhaps others could be targets.
Sad day for East Fife should players consider a move to Arbroath a step up. However, we are where we are.

After a purely hypothetical post by yourself, you then go on to say a sad day for East Fife The only sadness about your post, is that you actually posted it, thinking you are talking sense, when it is pure shite and a figment of your imagination

bit of an OTT response is it no. Tamsun makes a fair point IMO.

Very true, and at this time, it would be very likely for players to consider Arbroath a set up - sadly.
