Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

good pies

I thought the steak pies were excellent today.Plenty meat in them and very tasty.Probably the best pie tasted home and away.

Re: good pies

Good to hear. Could go one right now!

Re: good pies

My pie was cooked to perfection and even had a slight hint of grease on the top - the way a football pie should be.
Plus it was served on a wee plate.

Loved it.

Re: good pies

The Scotch pies were a lot better than last time and the steak pies were immense!!!!
BUT, thought there was samples being handed out?

Re: good pies

Steak pie was superb
Stuffed full of nice stringy steak and plenty o gravy.
Yum

Re: good pies

Well, having read all the negative posts after the last home game, I decided to have a pie today to judge for myself.
Could not fault it - maybe a wee bit less meat content than Moreland's, but a good pie nonetheless. At £1.30, it's cheaper than any other Scottish football ground I've been to in recent times (and certainly tasted much better!). Must try the steak pie next home game. Can't see what all the fuss was about, and have to assume that the pies have either been improved, or it was a bad batch last time.

Re: good pies

Ma old boy thought the pie was brilliant.. Loved it.. I had one too.. Lacked a wee bit of pepper and the filling was rather lackin.. But apart from that pretty damn good!

Re: good pies

Was certainly better than the last effort but still lacked a bit of flavour (pepper?)
The steak pies looked delicious and must try them next game.
Any chance of a bridie??

Re: good pies

The Steak Pies were very very good today plenty of filling, but not very hot,
(cant blame the butcher for that),
only got mine on a napkin,
will be enquiring about a plate the next time.

Re: good pies

Re: good pies

Aye so i thought i would try the pies last night after all the who-ha on here about them and i must admit they were very nice indeed and i couldnt find fault with them, but at the same time there is just that wee summit speacial about Morelands pies that cant be beaten!
