Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Latest Score

robert sloan missed penalty in the last minute.A hard fought draw,Brechin dominated for large chunks of the game against a make shift east fife ,hissie at centre half and mcormack at back.On reflection a draw was the least Brechin deserved. However stennie lost and 9 games to go all teams to play each other. All to play for and thankfully no more midweek games as the lads looked tired tonight.

Re: Latest Score

If we had won that match the night then it would have been day light robbery. Brechin city looked a lot more up for it more than us. Mcmanus caused us all sorts and took his goal very well. Our midfield were all over the place with the ball falling to a brechin player all the time. I'm glad that's the last of mid week games the boys looked very tired. Hope we can stay in touch with the play offs but hate to say it brechin look like a great side .

I think that in all the circumstances, I thought the guys battled really hard. Had the full squad been available, I think that we would have seen a different team. While we may not have merited a victory, we almost nicked it at the end. I am glad the midweek games are over. I would not go so far as to describe Brechin as a great team, though. Weir acted like a big bairn on the touchline, greetin at every decision. Roll on the Beath; hopefully we might get a result.
