Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

play offs

Thats us down to 5 games to go 3 at home and 2 away. Our next 3 games are against the bottom 3 teams and we really must take advantage of this to stay right in the hunt.Airdrie,Stennie and Dumbarton all play each other in the next three weeks so points will be dropped here.In saying that the teams at the bottom will be fighting for their lives so no easy games.I hope stonnie and especially campbell fit for next week as we will need to make at least 2 changes with white and cookie being out.A few twists are predictable but our destiny still in our own hands. It will go right to the wire and keeps the rest of the season interesting.

Re: play offs

I reckon we've a decent run-in;

(a) Forfar
(h) Albion
(h) Stirling
(a) Airdrie
(h) Arbroath
10 points from that ?

Stenhousemuir
(h) Airdrie
(a) Dumbarton
(h) Brechin
(a) Arbroath
(h) Forfar

Airdrie
(a) Stenhousemuir
(h) Brechin
(a) Dumbarton
(h) East Fife
(a) Cowdenbeath

Brechin (2 points behind)
(h) Stirling
(a) Airdrie
(a) Stenhousemuir
(h) Cowdenbeath
(a) Dumbarton

Re: play offs

forfar away is never easy but its the next one, v Albion that worries me.

Think 12 points would defo be good enough but think it may be 8 (wins v Albion and stirling with draws v forfar and arbroath)

Airdrie may kick us off the park if things go right for us!

Re: play offs

Our recent away form has been decent apart from ironically our last trip to forfar where we were very poor.Going to go down to the wire, but if you are honest on paper we definently have the best run in of games.Gordon duries interview after saturday appears to confirm that stonie and stevie campbell have a good chance of making it for the weekend. If we show the same commitment we wont be far away, team spirit seems much better since durie took the reigns.Bring on saturday cant wait.
