Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Historic 3-1 win for East Fife Ladies

East Fife Ladies

Published on Wednesday 18 April 2012 14:30

EAST Fife met Raith Rovers – a team they had never beaten in their club history, with Raith competing in a division above them – in a Fife ‘friendly,’ with both teams having a week free of league ties.

East Fife started very well and showed their intentions from the start, coming close with a few long-range efforts.

Fife had all the early pressure and got off the mark with Anderson finding the net from an inswinging Mowbray corner. The Fife defence had very little to deal with but ensured Hamilton did not have a save to make in the first half.

East Fife went two up from the penalty spot, with Flatt scoring her first goal of the season from the spot. Fife made it 3-0 before half-time, with Kirsty Graham curling an inch-perfect free kick in to the top corner from a wide angle.

East Fife made lots of changes in the second half, which affected the flow and pace of the game. There were further unsuccessful chances for To, Anderson and Skivington, while Redpath volleyed home a late consolation goal for Rovers.

East Fife player-manager, Liz Anderson said: “I was very pleased with the level of performance in the first half and hope we take confidence from a great performance.”

Re: EFFC Spank Rovers

Well done the Bayview Belles!

Re: EFFC Spank Rovers

Very disappointing result, but the Raith girls U11s have a great chance to soften this blow by beating EF girls U11s this Monday @ Beveridge Park.

Re: EFFC Spank Rovers

I see that the E*st F*fe Ladies won 16-1 on Sunday! Good grief. There's a team heading for a trophy. I'm off to the Beveridge Park tonight to see the U11s derby! Yaaaaassssssssss...

Re: EFFC Spank Rovers

Beveridge Park?? Bet that`s the first time you`ve been there in the daylight eh?

Ha ha!

Sadly the F*fe U11s were beaten 9-2, but I reckon in 6 months they'll be better than the Rovers girls.

Re: EFFC Spank Rovers

E*st F*fe girls U9s & U11s train at King George V, pitch nearest St Agatha's every Friday evening at 6pm.

Both squads could do with another 3-4 girls.
