Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Paul Returns

Welcome Back Paul!

Paul McManus returned to his favourite club tonight and put pen to paper for East Fife.

Pretty sure most of us have great memories of Paul, his great running, his ability to hold up the ball and, of course, his great goals.

Re: Paul Returns

Brilliant news well done to the manager and well done to paul mcmanus. Heard he had a lot to think about and I'm sure he knows he made the correct choice. Hope we can get Bobby and Ryan to stay and have a real go next year because its going to be a good league with better place's to visit. This has made my summer brilliant

Re: Paul Returns

Temps has re-signed for Forfar.

Re: Paul Returns

Didn't want Temps anyway...great player 3 seasons ago but now he's way past his best. Could do with a tall-ish player like him though to win headers etc.

Re: Paul Returns

temps would of done a job for us like even if he is geting on a bit shame ne resigned for forfar a lot of clubs realesing players just now so theres bound to be someone we can pick up to complament mcmanus

Welcome home Paul. Really happy to have you back where you belong.

Re: Paul Returns

Great news!! Look forward to seeing him banging in the goals for us this year. Well done to everyone involved in bringing him back to the club.

Re: Paul Returns

Money in Envelope counted.....and make sure the signature is in the correct place......would`nt want a late bid from The Rovers to fuck it all up....maybe not.

The Rovers would be better starting by paying their existing players their wages.

Wouldn't want McManus. Not first division calibre player. We've already got Graham who had been repeatedly scoring at least ten goals a season at first division level. We might take Wallace of you, he'd probably be keen to come back and work with McGlynn again.

Aye ! well done , you really showed the 1st div how to play football EH ????????

Re: Paul Returns

Finishing 7th in the first division isn't a bad position given we lost several key players in a cull of 15. Even despite our problems we're still in the first division, neither of which can be said about your diddy club and Paul McManus.

Re: Paul Returns

Paul mcmanus scored more goals for rovers than all of your ex players over the last 5-6 years including baird. You still not got over mcmanus and never will so just go bck to your own forum and come bck next year when your in the 3rd.

That'd be at a poorer level than the one we're now currently at. McManus will never be able to compare to the legend that is Gregory Tade, who is now plying his trade in the SPL. Then you have Brian Graham, who after an operation, hit the end of the season in full swing finishing only a goal behind Baird in the scoring charts in less games. It was a blessing in disguise that you took McManus off our hands back in 2008 or so, he'd have never cut it at this level.

Re: Paul Returns

to many fukin linnos on the board for my likeing you not got your own forum to cluter up we your pish
