Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Next season

Only a few weeks have passed but I am already missing going to the football on Saturday afternoons, so this got me thinking my afternoons at Bayview. Asking myself what would make the day a better experience?

IMO I think that as fans we should be treated to a day out instead of paying your £13 see a game and go home. Not much change but the music needs to be updated (Telstar is obviously the exception) but better music on when we score. What about a mascor for the kids, they can get their pic taken with it etc...they may enjoy the day a bit better. Half time entertainment, organise shootouts for fans to be involved, fans that want to take pens at half time and they r drawn to take them in the next game etc.

This is only a couple of ideas so whats everyones thoughts of improving the days experience?

Re: Next season

Call me old fashioned but my idea of a better match day experience at Bayview would be for us to win a lot more matches.

Re: Next season

Also think they need to look at the season ticket price hike for seniors. I've heard a few are thinking of not renewing for the first time in decades. Could be counter-productive.

Re: Next season

I have had a season ticket for years as has my Dad. He isn`t renewing due to the silly price increase and I will probably follow suit.
I suggest the club have another look at the pricing for seniors as it just doesn`t make sense. If not, can Eugene care to justify and explain why?

Re: Next season

its totally ridiculous that the club have hiked seniors season ticket prices, what are they thinking off, a club such as east fife can ill afford to alienate loyal fans with moves of this nature

Not old fashioned. Because that should be it.

Call me old fashioned, but my idea of a better match day experience at Bayview would be to hear ALL the East Fife supporters cheering on their team.... because THAT is how it's supposed to be!

Re: Next season

1, Get the prices reduced for a start.

2, Rip oot the 1000 seats we don`t need and give us somewhere to stand.

3, Bairns in for free.

4, A good team to cheer on.

5, Dream on.

You'd still no be happy! I think some people would still whinge even if they were getting paid by the club to go to games!

Question was how to improve the matchday experience.

DPH's answer is fair enough. Think you should lighten up a bit question mark (that is the crappiest user name on the forum BTW).
