Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Fixtures

Just been released & our first 5 fixtures alone will determine our season I think.
Alloa (A), QOS (H), Brechin (A), Albion (H), Arbroath (A), Ayr (H), Airdrie (A), Stenny (A) & Forfar (H)
We visti Arbroath on 2nd Jan finish with a home game against Brechin

Re: Fixtures

Looking at those fixtures, It's obvious that the league next season will be a whole lot tougher than last season. We really need to get more quality into the squad if we are to challenge that lot.

Re: Fixtures

Does the 2nd Div lose Airdrie and 'gain' Stranraer if FC The Rangers have to start its life in the 3rd ?

Re: Fixtures

When Livingston were demoted, the play off losing finalists were promoted so Airdrie and Stranraer would move up. The arguement would be for the SPL if they reinstate Dunfermline or promote Dundee

Re: Fixtures

"It is understood that according to SPL rules the club relegated last season — Dunfermline — will stay relegated and Dundee could therefore be the beneficiary of Rangers' demise."

As ridiculous as it sounds, I don't think Yorkston and all the Pars fans I know would want right back to the SPL next season. Next season's First Division will be bumper crowds and exciting

Re: Fixtures

St Pauli Fifer
"It is understood that according to SPL rules the club relegated last season — Dunfermline — will stay relegated and Dundee could therefore be the beneficiary of Rangers' demise."

and from today's Courier
"With no set SPL rule regarding who will take the old Rangers' place in the league should the chairmen block the transfer of the share to the newco, the Pars join Dundee as candidates to be invited in."
