Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Parking at Ibrox

Just a wee question if anyone knows of (safe) parking at ibrox for our cup game, we have to take the car due to work.

Or as close to the ground as poss

Re: Parking at Ibrox

The only problem you'll have are the wee street urchins who'll 'watch yer car for a pound mister', although it may be more than that now, as I was last there in 1996/97. Tell them to FO and your car will be keyed/ scratched, but agree to see them on the way out and bung them a quid and it'll generally be ok. Don't think any streets round Ibroke are any better or worse than any other.
Although maybe Get Over It will be in a much better position to enlighten you on this subject than me, unless he's one of these Huns who doesn't actually go to Ibrox.

Re: Parking at Ibrox

There's an ASDA in Helen Street, at the away end of Ibrox, but I think buying something and paying for it might make you look a tad indiscreet in Govan. Tesco have outline planning permission to build on a site between Edmiston Drive, Broomloan Road and Copland Road, but there's some issue with a red sandstone building.

Re: Parking at Ibrox

The asda carpark has a time limit for parking so you will probably get ticketed and it is a nightmare to get out of even when the footballs not on. Helen street is used for bus parking. The police will have badly parked cars removed and they get taken to parkhead area, bad enough going to ibrox without going there as well!! If you park on the streets heading down to govan cross they are all covered by cctv and if you know where your going you can head to the sqinty bridge near the secc and get onto the m8 that way.
