Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

O/T - Time to give the other half a kicking

The other cheek of the shameful, religion-obsessed arse had 13,000 empty seats to watch their team unfurl their title flag today.

They go on about hating each others but can't bear to be without each other it seems.

How many empty seats next time, 20,000 ?

They need each other to fuel and maintain the bigotry. Like Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor (look them up kids) they have this love-hate relationship. Without each other they wither then die. One of them has gone, let's hope the other goes the same way soon.

Just going to get less and less in attendance if they start to run away with the title early doors.

In one respect, I understand that if money is tight why would you go to watch basically a steamrollering or a boring game where they have to try and break a team down.

There's going to be few games inbetween with end to end action and excitement.

Just finished watch the game v Aberdeen. That was woeful from an entertainment standpoint.

I just fast forwarded through the second half as I was bored out of my nut.

Will be interesting to see attendances for all these other clubs whose fans said they wouldn't come along.

They need to pack the places out and the teams needs to actually play decent football.

The lower home crowds for Celtic will financially bring them closer to the other SPL teams though? Every little helps.
