Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Two once great clubs going head to head again just like it was when I was a boy. Teams like us deserve to be playing the gers, tic, hibees, jambos, dandy dons in the league, it is our right as a Scottish senior club and with league reconstruction, common sense and a drift away from live tv it can happen. It is up to us fans, we CAN make a difference.

Have you enjoyed the build up? Will you enjoy all of today? Want to do it more? Yes?? League reconstruction is then a must. Lose the twats at the top who are only interested in a few elite clubs and get Scottish football back where it belongs, with clubs and fans, fans who will go to games if no live tv.

Top league of 20 with second league made of remaining clubs. 60/40 gate split gives hope for the future to us smaller clubs. Give the fans hope that through time we can progress and be going to Ibrox, Celtic park, tyncastle, Easter road, Pittodrie, etc and they WILL drift back. Ban live tv from England which encourages fans to sit at home or in the pub. Why should we be watching English football anyway, we know it's good but if our teams are playing then it should not be on tv!!

Live Tv? Yes, but only cup finals and internationals involving Scotland and if no league games on in other Scottish divisions.

I am sick of the powers that be complaining that we fans don't turn up while at the same time take the cash for live tv which encourages fans to sit at home, how dare they blame us when they have caused it.

What can we do?? Well if anyone feels the same as me, email and we can discuss. Can't do anything if I'm just a one off!!
