Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Anyone have any news on Gordon Durie??

Should we expect Chisolm in charge for saturday?


Any news on Samuel? Wedderburn??

Heard today that Durie was suffering from a bad chest infection, hopefully be ok for Sat but if not Chisolm more than capable. Bit of a disaster ref Samuel, short term player who is gettin paid for nothing!! Wedderburn signing would be a boost. Still think King would be valuable addition to squad but management know better. Once Shagger fully fit we should see more goals..

King back at Bonnyrigg,heard he could have signed for Berwick but took the chance to do pre season at Fife in the hope of getting a contract and by the time he was told were not looking for midfield cover then Berwick had spent their budget,that's the chance you take and still think he could have done a job given the chance at Fife

According to the Courier this morning Gordon Durie wont be at the game on Saturday and Chisholm will be in charge.

Also reports that there is sadly still no progress with Colin Samuel's paperwork.

If Park is possibly signing then that's fair enough if he's going to play on the left of midfield, he's absolutely not the answer for the left side of our full back crisis though.

We also need to get over the non signing of King. Decent juniors midfielder, but would never get a game in the middle ahead of Smith, Sloan or Muir.

He'll be as decent as the 3 you mentioned,while we're on decency why did Durie keep him there full pre season knowing he didn't need any more midfield players,decent of him,put the guy in the picture right away and he would have been at Berwick or elsewhere,but as you said,put it to bed.

Why get him in for pre season training when he didn't need cover in midfield and then you read on here guys saying they do need cover,I'm not on here for an argument I'm just stating facts.
