Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Just another Saturday

remember when 'fans' were talking about boycotting East Fife due to their stance on 'Newco'. yet here they are running along to the SFA to see the national team....where's the talk of boycotts now??

Re: Just another Saturday

I'll be bored as hell, thinking there must be more to life than this shitty sort of a Saturday afternoon, wishing there was something entertaining going on.......hang on, I'm thinking of last Saturday.

Some East Fife fans were angry at the clubs silence(at the time) on the way they'd vote on 'Newco'...talks of boycotts and not renewing season tickets if they voted in favour(not remember????).
Pressure to vote for Newco came from Neil Doncaster(spl)and Stewart Regan(sfa)but the club stood firm and voted against.
My point was the anger against the SFA is now forgotten about with the tens of thousands heading to watch a useless group of players playing for a useless manager who works for the..... SFA.

The 'Famous' tartan army have a short memory to what the SFA tried to impose on the SFL clubs.
Enjoy trying to get to Rio

Re: Just another Saturday

You seem to have a real chip on your shoulder over Newco kenwit.
You also appear to resent fans following their national team. Very odd behaviour .

unsure what u mean about Newco as if you read any post i made then my anger was directed at fife fans trying to hold the club to ransom on voting,no chip on shoulder regarding Newco.

As for the sorry excuse called Scotland and their Army of sheep then thats a different matter..the fact that the SFA totally fleece the fans over tickets, travel club etc. A cheap built stadium compared to Wembley,Millennium,Aviva stadium (rep o Ire).
The salvation army..err tartan army are supposed to be the best fans in the world..my arse! i've been abroad with them once and they were a disgrace, heard them boo other nations national anthems and even boo their own players recently

What seems odd to you seems normal for me but like always this is only my opinion.....once we get back to a national team that plays with pride and with a manager that picks the best players available and not the ones who he gets on with then scotland might get somewhere in world football....but it wont be Rio
