Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Tomorrows Game

Tomorrows game really is a must win, let's try and do all we can to get behind the team! Hopefully with the signings of Pollock and Barr our midfield will have some pace and energy, which we have been void of all season! If the rumours about Broony being out are true then that's a massive blow however!

I'd go with something a bit different formation wise, 4-2-3-1. This will hopefully provide some cove for the defence an support for the attack, as in the 4-4-2 we usually play, neither is present.

LIAM , your club is calling in its hour of need (ok 90 mins!) Get the gloves ironed!

Re: Tomorrows Game

Sorry Mike, seminar all day tomorrow so despite Chissy's call I'm not available!

Re: Tomorrows Game

I once played a full 90 minutes in goal for BT in the Fife Summer League and only let in three goals. Just thought I'd bring this to Chissy's attention. It was about 20 years ago, mind.

Nah, wrong bloke, wrong chippy. Talking about the guy that we plucked from his shifft at the chippy in Kirkcaldy to play against Falkirk in our ill-fated season in the 1st division. He was dreadful for the first 10 mins then brilliant for the other 80. Think his name was maybe Colin Rushmore or something like that?

A better option than Liam or Jim C that's for sure.

Dont remember that. In the days before sub keepers though I remember a few outfield players putting in a decent shift between the sticks. Drew Rutherford, Billy Gillies and John Thorpe come to mind. Anyone think of any others?

Re: Tomorrows Game

Think the second name was Rushford.

DO you go to the games ? Wardlaw is pish poor and should hang up his boots. God know's how he went to spl he would not get a game in the 3rd division.

Re: Tomorrows Game

He will next season with you lot.
