Ok, we've had to take down a couple of posts and threads in the last week with fans personally abusing fellow fans and crossing the line.

This really isn't serving any purpose and is just going to lead to a whole host of nastiness down the line, both online and potentially at games.

We're not going to get on or agree with everyone on here, but try and keep the arguments the right side of the line.

I have no problem with heated discussion and sometimes it'll lead to some abusive name calling. Call someone a dick. Tell them to fuck off. That's fine and part of life.

When it becomes deeply personal and hurtful, the comments aren't going to stay up here going forward.

We are all wanting the same thing at the end of the day and our current shit performances are making us all a bit more irritable.

I keep saying that I log onto a few football websites and obviously there are individual arguements on threads from time to time but this site is the worst by far for fans turning on each other.

I am not talking about opposition fans on the wind - that makes them fair game and they get dogs' abuse. All part of life's rich tapestry.

On a grander scale, I think we live in an intolerant age at the moment and not being prepared to listen to other people's opinion but respond with abusive language seems to be the norm.

It used to be 'I do not agree with a word you say but I shall defend to my death your right to say it'. Now it's 'I do not agree with a word you say you fucking retard'.

Completely agree and well done GoF. Also, the personal abuse of players has got to stop.
