Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Reserve Game

I see from the Cowdenbeath twitter feed ( retweeted by Scottish fita fans) that East Fife reserves are playing at Central Park tonight

Is there no one in a paid capacity at the club that has the responsibility for keeping its supporters informed of these things?

The forthcoming Reserve League Match against Cowdenbeath will take place on Tuesday 9th October 2012 at Central Park, Cowdenbeath with a 7.30pm kick off.

Game finished 1-1

East fife missed a penalty after a cowden outfield player made a diving save to stop a certain goal which he got sent of for, saying that cowden actaully played better after they went down to 10 men, east fife had a good few chance to win the game but the strikers did'nt have there shooting boots on.
decent game and a draw was about right.

p.s..Anybody know the roll Bob Malcon plays with-in the club?

I'v been told told he is in the reserve team to help the younger players along, well hopefully they don't follow his example tonight of standing in one spot and just moaning at every fife player who made any kind of mistake.

My sincere apologies I did look on the site after I saw the Cowdenbeef tweet at 7pm but was looking under the fixtures and events section at the top of the page.

I suppose the answer is that the volunteer office staff updated the website with the fixture on the afternoon of the game for which I thank them.
