Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

FAO 'Oh Deary'

By all accounts, Jimmy Saville applied for the England managers job in the 1990’s but he was turned down by the FA as he wanted to put Seaman in the U15s…..

I am not supporting this joke but if hes being banned for bile,Kerriann is going to be very busy banning at least 75% of the people that post on here.

The saville stories are shocking and terrible and how people can make jokes about it is deplorable.

I actually met jimmy saville once and to be honest he was very nice. He fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded. Strange to think that it is the same guy we are reading about in the papers each day.

It's not just because of this one. There are many posts that have been removed by moderators and this is the final straw. He's deliberatlely winding up other posters, which in itself is not an automatic ban but the content of alot of the removed posts is worthy of a ban. I think we all tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and hoped that once sober he's pipe down.

Yeah, this has been the final straw really.

There's been a lot of things we've deleted over time.

It was me that deleted the last 'joke' he put up, as I didn't really want people googling that phrase/story and coming to AFTN!
