Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Stranraer programme

Although the plates were prepared the programme for the cancelled Stranraer game was not printed at the time but is now ready for tomorrow night's game and is as up to date as possible. In addition to all the regular articles there is another book review which will delight some of the Booker Prize hopefuls who contribute regularly to AFTN.

Also in the programme is a boardroom update from Trust representative Eugene and I can say without fear of contradiction that part of his article will produce wet pants amongst some of the terracing lobby. Read it and seep.

Re: Stranraer programme

Can 't be big news or Eugene would 've updated us. Plus no one is taking about it. Dinny get your hopes up.

Re: Stranraer programme

It would be useful for those who were not at Tuesday's match to hear more about this. For a whole host of reasons many people cannot attend every game so it would be good if a bit more info on this story was forthcoming please.

Re: Stranraer programme

The gist of it is,subject to SFL and Fife Council approval, the club will build a
temporary barrier around the pitch and would require to reduce the pitch size.
There would be nosteps or barriers and the extra cowd would be no more than 5 deep.
The club has a present licence for 3000 fans and it is hoped that if the additional spaces goes ahead, the ground capacity would increase to 4000.

Re: Stranraer programme

Cheers for the info.
