Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Speculation

Almost midway through the season. 6 points from 3rd. 6 points from bottom! So, do we have a realistic chance of securing a playoff spot come the end of the season?

My view... Yes, provided we can remain injury free and get some players fit again.
We've seen in recent weeks that the team has a bit spirit about them and can play some good fitba. But is it good enough or will our weaknesses let us down as we reach the business end of the season.

Just like to know what others on here think....

Re: Speculation

Michael brown a big miss at the moment,we continue to lose cheap goals.Happy with midfield and forwards, but to move forward we simply have to improve at the back.Im sure bb will have identified this and hope he has plans to strengthen at the back.

Re: Speculation

Just like the last 4 seasons, it's hanging in the balance. If we can get a break with injuries and keep a bit of consistency, we've got a chance of getting in the promotion play-offs. If we're unlucky with injuries and don't keep to the standard we've set recently, it'll be a battle to stay in the league.
