Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Wide Open

Brechin and Stranraer take the points from tonights games (Tues).
The race for 4th is wide open. Pick any 1 from 5.
The team that gets the play off spot will need to put a wee run together. That includes us!
Equally a dip in form can see any one of them slipping to join AR.
Just hope we can turn our recent form. Not going to be easy though, next 3 games will be difficult, but not beyond us.
Still a few twists and turns before the end of this season...
Ever the optimist!

Re: Wide Open

Everyone's played one, two or three games less than us - even after tonight. Could do with 3 or 4 points from the next two games to start to pull away from the threat of the relegation play-off (that'll be 3/4 of our season played by then too).

Re: Wide Open

The business now has to start away to brechin and pick up points is a must. Cmon

Let's everybody get behind the team then eh? Show the players what a great support we have, when the going gets tough!

1 win in 9. There is no evidence that we are capable of going on a winning run. We have no chance of 4th.

4th? Us? Don`t you mean 4th bottom? Now that would be an achievement for this team of slackers who have only had one lucky win in nine games against a team below them.

Re: Wide Open

Glass half empty?

I can fully understand the doldrum posters on here that have complained at some of the results and performances this season and have gone on a mission of blame. Forum culture at its best! (everyone entitled to an opion...even me)

However stats do not lie. We have played some good entertaining footy this season. Unfortunenately we've been beaten all too often by the odd goal...fact!!
Goal diff -2 take a look at the teams just above us in the league. Stenny -5 Arbroath -10 Forfar -10

Even against the top 2, not too bad, take heart guys, not relegated yet!

Correct no relegation yet and the game with qos will be interesting for bb to see what he can do to turn things around fast with his recent comments weeks ago as its the only side he hasn't seen, still a few twist and turns maybe he has a trick up his seelves you never know in football but as cf says the work must start at brechin to end going 10 games without getting any points on the table for sure.

So Cmon Fife! let's get behind our side now, the only way is up...

Re: Wide Open

10 games! nae it's 3, prior to that we took points from Alloa, Brechin and Ayr.

If reconstruction starts next season with 12 12 18 would the relegation play offs be cancelled? I suppose no point as the bottom 8 will be relegated to the 3rd division!!
