Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

How should we line up tomorrow?

If Durie and Campbell are back, do we go with Campbell and McCormack at centre half and Div in midfield or keep Div in there?
Do we stick with Shagger and Sammy up front or start Gormley, Jamieson or both?
Persevere with Bobby/ Mcbride or give Keenan a go?
Antell or Brown?

If you were Billy B for a day what would you start with?

This if everyones fit. need div's fight in the midfield, durie is better going forward than defending. The jamieson and gormley looked good when they came on and we NEED browny back in the goals!

Billy brown has got to get more out of the midfield when we dont have the ball,willis and barr will need to up their work rate 100% from last week.Was tempted to give gormley the nod after his effort last week.

mcormack never a full back,and whyte will carry the can for last weeks defensive frailties.Michael brown has to start.Dont think campbell fit either.

BB seems to like his 4 4 2 but since I'm manager for the day - 3-4-3 and have a real go at them in possesion, dropping to 5-4-1 to get it back when they have it and springing quickly back to 3-4-3 when we get it back.

Requires real work rate especially from the left and right flanks.
But if we can get that, keep the engine going in Div and Daz and keep the back 3 tight then we can spank them

Looks like Campbell won't play (missed that) if that really is the case -
Although I'd prefer Div in midfield, I'd swap him for Cambell and bring in Willis (he'll have to work though) but keep the formation above.

if we go with smith and Div in midfield then we're fooked as both sit deep and cant support the strikers.

Like this...so right and left working back and forward depending on whos got possession. Managers job beckons!

Think we need an attacking option with a bit of height, thats how id play jamieson.Last time we played arbroath at bayview jamieson came on early doors and had a great game.Doris and kerr out for the smokies two big players for them.
