Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Reserves

"The Next Reserve League Cup Match against Livingston will take place on Tuesday 12th March with a 2.00pm kick off.
The venue will be Bathgate Juniors, Creamery Park, West Lothian."

This is posted on the official website.

What players do we play in reserve matches?

Can't imagine to many of our first team squad would be able at that particular time?

Is this where the full time team- under 19s if i'm correct- get games?

Maybe it's just me but can someone tell me what the full time players do as the first team seem to be more loan players oriented.

Re: Reserves

from what ive seen at reserve matches the full timers dont seem to be getting much of a chance to prove themselves, and clearly not getting a chance in the first team so basically they just train everyday but dont get used... cant get my head round that if im honest give them a chance

most of the first team play reserve matches and as its showing just now its not helping them in the first team games so they should give the full timers and 19s play reserve games and let the first team focus on trying to stay up.

Re: Reserves

According to Livingston website the game was postponed.

Re: Reserves

it was, it was probably going to be the only chance the full timers would of had to prove themselves
