Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Billy Brown says he is in a relaxed mood for the double header against Albion and Stranraer. Lucky you Billy!. I can tell you this no fan or supporter is feeling relaxed after 5 defeats on the trot(3 at home). Billy says when he was at Bradford "we played Arsenal,Man U and Chelsea in a few days, that was a wee bit different,so im not too flustered Albion Rovers and Stranraer."But everything is relevant i suppose. You better believe Billy, that every Fife fan knows every game until the end of the season is relevant. I could not give a shit about Bradford playing against the big names. i am bothered about the Fife and every result will be relevant well after Billy Brown leaves the Fife. This is not the 1st time his comments smacks of i have been in bigger games attitude.

Re: billy brown

I think he's being sensible and keeping a level head. What good what panicking do.

Brown will keep us in the division and build us a new team that will challenge for promotion next year. Keep the faith.

Re: billy brown

Maybe being in a relaxed mood is his problem and he's passing it on to the team. We have dropped like a stone since he took over and I'm thinking maybe a change of manager might save us. Don't ask me who and from where but other teams are ditching managers right now in the hope of their particular league survival. Is he our worst manager yet? I have no faith in him whatsoever - he thinks he is some kind of Jock Stein but he is more of a Roy Keane type manager.

You drunk? We`ll struggle in Div.3 next season!

Re: billy brown

Brown has also said 'I have done all I can for the players, it is up to them now'. Billy, what exactly have you done? It sounds like you are trying to pass on responsibility for where we find ourselves. Have you chucked it?

Re: billy brown

and i agree with the first post, i could not care less about bradford or any other time in billy brown's career. it has no relevance at all to how we get out of the hole we are in. and billy, you were humped six-nil by man united during those three games you speak about. not much in that for us, is there?

I'd seen this. I'm in Glasgow this weekend and was for nipping over to Coatbridge and also putting a few quid on an away must-win. After reading that, I'm having second thoughts.

Re: billy brown

i hope you saved your money. 9 games without a win, the potentially easiest game left yesterday yielding only a point. Our last 3 games of the season are against the top 3 teams. Billy Brown is going to have to earn his corn now, defeat on Sat and we're condemned to the play-offs.
