Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Scotland v Wales

I have a chat with Vancouver Whitecaps coaches, and former internationals, Paul Ritchie and Carl Robinson ahead of tomorrow's Scotland v Wales game.

Have a read and share it on some fitba forums if you would be so kind! Ta.

Re: Scotland v Wales

Thanks ref. The good news is that mouth almighty Bellamy won't be going to Brazil despite the ref-assisted win.

Re: Scotland v Wales

Countries like Wales used to be brushed aside. Mickey Thomas was right, the worst Scottish team of all time.

Maybe 80 years ago. Last time i saw a scotland v wales game at hampden was when Rush played for Wales. That must have been over 25 years ago and we lost 0-1. Its been a long time since we used to brush Wales aside.

Re: Scotland v Wales

That was an anomaly. Up until the 90's Scotland would normally beat the likes of Wales a lot more often than they would be beat us.

Like East Fife, Scotland have declined badly in relation to their peers and traditionally lesser teams. Stop being an apologist for failure and mediocrity.

Re: Scotland v Wales

The betting for the game before it started was 14-1 for 2-1 win to wales and 50-1 for 3-1.I can not believe they were offering odds like that.
