Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Gareth Wardlaw

Seemingly he has been fit and available for weeks. Surely with the predicament we are in he should at least be getting a chance. At least he'd be fitter than Bob Malcolm. C'mon Billy we've got to use all the resources we have to get us out of the situation we find ourselves in !

Re: Gareth Wardlaw

Wardlaw has only played one reserve game and was shocking and not anywhere near fit. Even if he was its not the position that needs sorted its defence. Wardlaw is finished.

After watching Bob Malcolm towing a caravan at Forfar on Sat, I'm sure the same thing could be leveled at him. You say it's not the position needing sorted and yes it's not the biggest weakness but remind me how many goals our strikers have scored this season - McManus 6, Samuel 4, Gormley 2 and Jamieson 1 - 13 in total. Wardlaw scored 3 goals and has missed 2/3 of the season. I'm not saying he can be our savior but after Brown shuffling the pack on Sat, another change is worth a try.

Re: Gareth Wardlaw

But the service is shocking no one can take on a player and play in the strikers. I have no doubts an injury free McManus would have hit well into double figures because he has every season. We have not bad players going forward but when your defence constantly let goals in easy then the confidence goes straight out the team.
