Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Looks like Peterhead and if (and it's a big if) we win through, the winners of Queens Park and Montrose.

It doesn't look like anything. Where you getting that from ? There are 12 points (4 games each) to play for with Berwick and Elgin still in with a shout.

I'm doing nothing much on Saturday so I'll pop down to Methil to watch The Fife. I don't expect anything so I won't be disappointed but it will be one of their last games in Division 2. There is no difference in standard between the 2nd and the 3rd so next season I won't expect anything either but because I'm a supporter I will go to the games. If we get involved in a promotion battle it will be a bonus. Has anyone really expected anything from this lot for the past few years? I didn't think so, so stop moaning and squabbling with each other. We can always see proper football by watching the Spanish League on Sky Sports.

If that is true, then just about every club in the Third Division will be better than us. Prepare for the worst-ever season in the history of EFFC. If the pyramid system is in place next season, our senior league status will be under threat.
