Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

brown and the board must go

billy brown must go now if we are to have any chance to stay in the 2nd div. he has proved himself as a poor manager. 1 win in 16 games piss poor to say the least. and the board who have tried to stay in the 2nd on the cheap while banking Aberdeen killie and rangers cheques have killed this club. would they run there own business like this? I think not. get columbine, Stevenson and rankine out they do nothing for this club they have took a good club and fucked it right up

Brown has to go NOW. The only thing the board can do is make a change and see if we can get a bounce, as can happen at teams. God...even Billy Brown got a bounce with these same players...remember??
Bully Brown has had it. The relationship between the fans and him will never be the same and we are going to lose game after game before then getting smashed in the play offs. Brown will then walk saying "what could I do with such terrible players and rubbish supporters?".

CHANGE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heard before the game from a Director that BB has said he wants to keep just 5 players from the current squad for next season.
Well ... good ... we definitely need change ... but surely he must have had an inclination in the transfer window, but decided to do zilch!

Thing is you have to remember if he wants players out the door in the January window you've either got to find takers who want them or else pay up a settlement on their contract which is costly business.

Maybe in the transfer window BB thought that some of our own young full time players could work there way into the squad, don't no the reason why they have'nt, i'v seen a good few reserve games and in my opinion think the right back Shaw, midfielders Barr and Lennie (been told all there names so hopefully they are right)look able to step into the first team.

Think at the moment most fans would rather see our own local young players playing in an EF shirt.
