Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Stranraer face two teams battling for promotion whereas we are playing 2 sides which have secure playoff and champion spots, im confident!

We absolutely need Stranraer to lose both of their remaining games now. Cannot see us getting anything from QoS this weekend (hope I'm wrong) but I'm confident we can beat Brechin on the last game of the season. Therefore, I'm hoping we overtake Stranraer on goal difference.

Not true. If they get one point from 2 games they have 35. If we get four points we have 35 plus a better goal difference. Obviously we need them to mess up big style and we need to get something at QoS but one point is only enough for them if we don't win one of our last two games.

This weekend we need to pick up a point at Palmerston along with...

Stenny beat Brechin so they have a playoff spot to play for in the final weekend against Stranraer.

Ayr to beat Arbroath so that Stenny can catch the Smokies for the final playoff spot and Forfar to beat Stranraer.

Remain optimistic about beating Brechin but I think we'll get pumped by 4 on Saturday. Big crowd cheering on a team who are miles better than us, early goal and it could be a pummeling. Here's hoping not tho! Mon the Fife!

Which would be ok provided Forfar beat Stranraer. Then it would be all down to the last game.
