Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

I don't think I've ever been so gutted at the end of a game as I was today. Really great performance from the lads, really great support from the travelling fans. We were well worth a win. Life just isn't fair at times. Anyway, photos now on the official web site

Jim, put up the photo you took of the loyal away support at dumfries

Re: Photos from QOS

The dust has settled from yesterday. Had a look at pie forum to get the qots fans perspective of the game. Which can sometimes be a bit of a leveller.
Interesting reading their comments, confirmed we did play some good stuff;

'We were bossed by a well set up East fife team'

'Felt for all the staff and fans of East Fife as they deserved the 3 points'

'Usually the teams that come to Palmerston tire around the hour mark. East Fife kept going like a train for ( nearly) the full match . A very commited performance by them with Samuel outstanding'

'East Fife have been good against us all year and deserved the 3 points'

Good stuff boys, keep it going for next week!

Re: Photos from QOS

We were great yesterday. A long time since I witnessed such a gutsy performance on the park. As previously mentioned the fans played their part too. 80 or so supporters completely outshouted and outsang 2,500 home fans.

Re: Photos from QOS

Samuel looks decent now than before he joined the club. anyone notice if he has lost weight? he looks an improved player and should be worth another contract next season at the club...he might not be a proven goalscorer but is good when the ball is played by foot and has ball control skills for a attacker which is great to see and exprience in the game. We were unlucky not to come away with all 3 points yestarday but hope we get something from the game against brechin at home to stay up, i hope the players believe and re-group that they can do it for another 90 mins again with stenny beating stranrear...it would be a awesome way to end the season on a high dont you think?

us beating alloa, drawing with the champions and if we can beat brechin then that would be something to smile about for sure lets see what this weekend will bring, im looking forward to it come on Fife!
