Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Wednesday's Game V Peterhead

The club's pleased to announce that the prices for the Peterhead game will be kept at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

The game is scheduled to start this Wednesday at 19.45 but it is possible Peterhead will ask for it to be delayed to 20.00 and if that happens we'll post it here as well as the official site.

Re: Wednesday's Game V Peterhead

Could you ask the club if they will be running buses to the 2nd leg at Peterhead?

Re: Wednesday's Game V Peterhead

great performance from the team today battled till the end. I just think the board should be doing better in terms of admission bearing in mind a lot of fans are going to travel to Peterhead on sun which will be costly. don't grudge a penny but cant understand why Berwick and Forfar can offer free or 5 pound admission and we cant. surely the board can do at least the same

Re: Wednesday's Game V Peterhead

Eugene since I work until eight can you delay the kick off till 8 15 Im sure Peterhead would not object.

Re: Wednesday's Game V Peterhead

Good crowd today, and all at £10 a head. I'm sure there'll be a good turn out on Wednesday as well, even though we're charging more / not allowing season books when other clubs in the playoffs are.

I'd think it's a remarkably cavalier attitude from the board, considering the financial benefit/loss to be had from staying up or going down. But still, that's just me, and I bet the old bank manager would take a different view of the board's prudence here.

If I might make just one plea then: If the fans turn out yet again on Wednesday, and if our boys on the pitch keep the tie alive for the return in Peterheid, would the board prise open the biscuit tin for some subsidised buses up there?

Please?

Even though we made a hundred grand from the Gers game we're now broke.

Go figure.
