Away From The Numbers
All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.
The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.
This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Thanks to Farage calling the Scots demonstrators racists, I am suddenly not popular in my local pub with the UKIP supporters (of which there are many). Friendly banter has suddenly turned into angry comments. It doesn't help that I argue for Scottish Independence and European Federalism.
What makes me laugh is that all I heard was English accents amongst the demonstrators - with the occassional Scots twang.

If I have offended you in anyway then I apologise for that; without the knowledge of what I said/did makes it difficult to put things in context (if offence is the root of your rude comments). If you don't like me full stop then there is fuck all I can do about that and it's your problem. If you don't like me for my opinion then maybe it's you that needs to grow up? BTW, I manned-up and apologised for the behaviour of my fellow Scots and that seems to have smoothed things to the stage of buying me a drink for East Fife staying up.
I'd love to have the lefties on this site walk into my bar in Harpenden - the Hertfordshire Tory Heartland - and start giving it political laldie; provided it didn't turn nasty and no punches were thrown, it could turn out to be an interesting debate
