Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

THANK YOU

To each and every player today for showing the courage determination and spirit to get the club it's most important result in the last 10 years (if not longer)

Most had us written off, but today showed everyone that was there that you ARE good players and you deserve to be in this league.

Just back with my 73 yr old Dad and he said that was one of the best days he's had following the Fife-and he is old enough to remember a good part of the 'Glory Years'!

As players you have come in for some stick ( both from the stand and from your own dressing room) but you can hold your heads up high after the last two weeks or so.

I know we shouldn't have been in this situation today but having found ourselves there the character fight and attitude on display makes me very proud to follow The Fife.

Some of you players will have decided to leave the club or may not be offered terms for next season and if you are in these categories then you have my thanks , gratitude and best wishes fir he future.

Some may be undecided or may think that they are better away from EF - to those players I ask you to please think hard before deciding to leave. Think about the reception you received throughout the game and at the end- will another teams fans really appreciate you as much as we all did today? Think about what you could achieve next season with the help of a few new signings , the support of he fans and the full backing of your management team?

After what's been said publicly and ( allegedly) privately about you as a team no one can criticise you if you do decide to leave but I know you won't get the same level of support and appreciation than you witnessed today.

Thanks again
Mon the Fife!

Well said neebs

Re: THANK YOU

A big thanks to every East Fife player for an amazing day today. Whatever happened during the season, the play-offs have been amazing to watch as a supporter. We all apreciate the guts that you guys showed over the four games. You should all be proud of the way you picked yourselves up after the dissapointment of finishing 9th to fight for what really is a massive and important achievement for the club.

Today was up there with the best moment supporting East Fife!
