Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Who'd you want us to sign??

With us going to be signing 6-7 full time players who would u want to join us?? I think in this league u need a sound defence and guaranteed goals so with nade signing and possibility of bouazid reckon another centre half striker nd midfielder and we are on our way to half decent start

I think you're right, we really need to get back to basics and make ourselves harder to beat. There were signs of that right at the end of the season and in the play-offs but a couple of experienced defenders are a must, especially if we are going to be playing with 2 or 3 youngsters each week. I hope Campbell does re-sign but still not sure about Durie and Johnstone (maybe keep one of them?).

Elsewhere well we just need some more senior players, any players!

Campbell yes. Durie and Johnstone a big mistake. Not good enough for 2nd.
May give 100% but quality simply isn't there.

well i can tell you for a fact that broonie hasnt signed cause its on twitter that he hasnt even been approached , Darren smith has not signed either ,so someone is telling porkies already

We were crying out for a quality 'old head' at the back last season.
IMO somebody like Darren Dods would be ideal.
