Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Herald Interview with LM
Re: Herald Interview with LM

a very honest interview!!

Re: Herald Interview with LM

Good stuff. Saying all the right things. Shows up too the limited vision and ambition that the previous regime had.

Re: Herald Interview with LM

This is all sounding right.
No flamboyancy, just good business/football sense.
Impressive stuff.

Re: Herald Interview with LM

Excellent article Lee Murray has come across very well with correct level of ambition for the club and forward thinking re league reconstruction spot on. Looking forward to the next few years and the twists and tturns ahead . Roll on the new season.

Re: Herald Interview with LM

In fairness to the previous board, LM acknowledges their attempts to keep the club in the black and not run up (huge) debts. They may not have been ambitious but how many clubs are in the same financial position as EFFC? Not many methinks but time for a new approach and business strategy , interesting and exciting times ahead. Good luck to all concerned.

Re: Herald Interview with LM

Lee has come across very well so far, with no outlandish claims or boasts,he appears to have a forward thinking vision and sensible fresh ideas,I wish him and the new regime all the best.Cant wait for the new season to get underway.

Re: Herald Interview with LM

Making all the right noises and is looking to be a bit more progressive, which as he points out the current board have failed to be. I would prefer if locals had East Fife as their favourite first team rather than second mind you.

Hopefully a bright new dawn for the club and fans.
