Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

That's fine by me. He lives locally, he has played at the highest level, he is full of enthusiasm and energy, and he has no ego. He should have been an East Fife player last season when we were crying out for help at the back.

Re: Marvin Andrews

Suspect this is another of the rumour control signings...

Re: Marvin Andrews

Could the source have the wrong M Andrews perhaps?

Re: Marvin Andrews

Marvin Andrews was born in San Juan, Trinidad and Tobago, in 1975. He is an extraordinary footballer whose talent has seen him quickly progress from barefoot kickabouts on the dusty streets of his Caribbean neighbourhood to top-flight Scottish football and over 100 international appreances with "Soca Warriors" Trinidad and Tobago. Begining his professional career with Trinidian club Carib FC in 1995, he came to Scotland in 1997, where his achievements include a Scottish Leauge Cup win with Livingston in 2003-04 and a Premier Leauge title win with Rangers in 2004-05.
He is also an Assistant Pastor at Zion Praise Center International, Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

ZION FOUNDATION

In Zion Praise Centre International, we believe in the miracle working power of the Almighty God. We fanatically believe what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said in Mark 11:22 -24, and in Mark 16:15-20. When we pray, we expect the Almighty God to answer, that is why we have seen all kinds of miracles including the dead raises to life.

I am a professional football player and since coming to Scotland from Trinidad and Tobago, I have encountered different healing experiences with the Lord. My first was when I was playing for Raith Rovers Club in Kirkcaldy, I had a serious injury in my groin area and the doctor told me that I will need a metal plate put in me before I could play again, by then I was introduced to pastor Joe by a friend Tony who was a member of the church. I gave my life to Christ and the pastor prayed and the Lord healed me. I then became very close with God and began to study the Word of God.
The Lord promoted me to a bigger club Livingstone Football Club. I also injured my shoulder in a game and another doctor said I would be out of action for about a month, but I went to church and was prayed for and the Lord healed me and I started playing after a week. By this time my faith started to grow and I could believe God for anything now.
The Lord promoted me again to much more bigger club the Glasgow Rangers. Again this time, I damaged my cruciate which required a major surgery to reconstruct my knee. The specialist doctors told me that I would not play again unless this surgery is done. I did not want any surgery so I decided to trust God. I spoke to pastor Joe about my decision not to have the surgery, he prayed with me and I stood on the word of God and was completely healed. I have been playing ever since and will be playing for my country in the World Cup 2006 in Germany.
If you can believe, all things are possible.

Re: Marvin Andrews

This is a dream come true. East Fife sign a 35+ year old player who will not miss a game through injury. Just need to make sure pastor Joe comes with him.
Mmmmmmmm....I wonder who his friend Tony is ?

Re: Marvin Andrews

As my old nan would say

"DEAR GOD"

A wrong decision is better than indecision.
