Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: New Player

Good. Always liked Mbu. Cruised through the games i have seen him play in.

Re: New Player

Dutot,Mbu,Campbell Thom,Durie,Stoney plus any youths, defence looks set , experienced midfielder needed and probably 2 or 3 strikers, think we'll have another couple of signings either tonight or Wed.

Re: New Player

Sweet as. That's a lovely signing.

Re: New Player

good signing he is a strong physical defender and great in the air. the sort of player we have missed since tweed left.

Re: New Player

I think we should sign stephen hughes, he would give us experience in the centre of midfield and help the others and youths also one or two strikers to add to squad and we'll be ready to play.

They will be on about £300-£400 as that's what McManus is on so I heard. The bottom line is our club can only afford £150-200 for part-time players so players are going to want to go where the money is .

Re: New Player

Dods is on £500 a week at Forfar. Paying big money doesn't guarantee success. We were allegedly paying Bobby Barr £500 a week but after a positive loan period he did little to justify that money once he signed for us. Andrews and Dods will be the oldest defensive pairing in the League next year (75 years) and certainly won't be the quickest !
