Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Christian Nade - What's going on?

I've tried a couple of times to tweet to Lee/the club, but does anyone know what's going on with this signing? We were told he's agreed to sign, but I don't think he actually has because of no announcement...just wondering if anyone can clear it up?

Re: Christian Nade - What's going on?

Think the manager/board are being pretty sensible here to be honest. I recall the board mentioning that he is going to have to prove his fitness before signing. Would rather do that than rushing into signing someone we don't even know is 100%. Be patient!

Re: Christian Nade - What's going on?

He's been at Bayview a few times. He told another East Fife fan that he hasn't yet signed but he will. Which goes with what the previous poster says about proving his fitness. No point wasting decent wages if he can't play.

Re: Christian Nade - What's going on?

Lee - 'Couple of small issues to cleared up but no problems he is itching to get started for us!'

No pressure, just it had been very very quiet over the past few weeks over him and if we get him signed up the squad will look much better with a strong experienced forward up top.

Re: Christian Nade - What's going on?

It's down to the operation he underwent obviously. Remember they said he was getting one.

Re: Christian Nade - What's going on?

He had that operation a few weeks ago im sure and it was said to be a success. He'll be fit and ready by the start of the season.
