Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Interviews

Hi guys. I'm studying Radio at College and I've been in constant contact with your very own Eugene Clarke over the last few months. Massive thanks from myself to Eugene for the co-operation and help he has provided me with. I'm hoping to set up some kind of weekly interview (if possible)to be uploaded to the Official Website to try and keep the EF fans updated with the latest thoughts and opinions from the Club. I'm still not sure how close we are to getting this up and running, but alongside it giving me great work experience, it'll also help the Club engage more with the fans. I'm currently pencilled in for an interview with Willie Aitchison (and possibly the FT players too) on Friday morning. I will then send the interview to Eugene through email to upload to the Official Site and that side of passes me by so hopefully by the weekend or next week we'll have the first instalment of it.
If you have any - sensible - questions you'd like to me ask Willie and/or any of the FT players then please leave them here and I'll try ask them on Friday.

P.S I was thinking of calling this feature "The East Fife Fans' Fanzine" but if you'd rather I called it something else, suggestions are welcome.

Thanks guys and I hope this proposal can be taken forward as I hope it can as it'll really help the Club come closer to the Fans.

Cheers!

Re: Interviews

Brilliant. Anything else that can help the club engage with the fans is to be welcomed in my opinion.

How about "Bayview Bites" as a name since it'll be weekly sound bites from the club?

Re: Interviews

"Bayview Bites" is a possibility. Hopefully Eugene can clarify if this is definitely going to be able to work and be a weekly occurrence - as far as I'm aware though it's certainly an option we're exploring.

I am also trying to get an interview with Lee Murray for tomorrow night. If I manage to get him, and anyone has any questions, please leave them here. Cheers.

Re: Interviews

A question for Willie having the chance to manage a club is a great opportunity particularly for someone who has come up the youth coaching route. Eyes are on him as would be expected but what are his eyes on what is his dream or goal. No bullshit answers let's have the raw facts. Also what is your set of rules for the youngster s he is bringing to club

Re: Interviews

Like Bayview bites.

Or how about the Terracing Talk?

There's only one East Fife Fanzine and that's AFTN! (sook)
