Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

attendance.....

what was the official attendance on sat

Re: attendance.....

Well that's strange. There doesn't seem to be any official attendance figures on the SPFL site for any of the weekends matches, either in the cup or the SPL. If you look back to last years fixtures, the attendance is always there.

Have they decided to dispense with these?

Re: attendance.....

According to EF Twitter = 737.

Not for the first time ,actual attendance looked much more.

Re: attendance.....

I've never understood why East Fife don't announce the attendance at the end of the game like every other ground in Scotland.

Re: attendance.....

Thanks for that Sammy. Will check the twitter for attendances in future.

Re: attendance.....

Must have been over 300 comps inside as looked a healthy support in home end and sounded like a decent support away end. Maybe our capacity is only 1500 and not 1998, haha.

Re: attendance.....

According to the Courier today it was 727.

Re: attendance.....

I can't see how they would have got another 1200 in the ground on Saturday - it looked a lot more than 700 odd - Morton brought quite a few through as well.
