Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Bayview Bites - Questions for Willie Aitchison post-Dunfermline, pre-Brechin

Any (sensible!!) questions you'd like me to ask the manager this Friday please leave in this thread here. It doesn't specifically have to be about the match last Saturday or the match coming up this week - it could be a question about transfers or whatever else too. I'll try ask as many of them as possible and hopefully you'll get the answers you're looking for.

Cheers, Reporter.

Re: Bayview Bites - Questions for Willie Aitchison post-Dunfermline, pre-Brechin

Firstly, great work with the Bayview Bites, keep it up

Secondly, couple of serious questions for the manager. Does he intend to try and bring a left back in? I honestly can't remember the last time we had an actual proper left back and not just players from other positions filling in and trying to learn the job.

Has he considered signing and using wingers too? Creative wide players would surely help our front men who look starved of proper service at the moment. To me it feels like we've got a surplus of very similar central midfield type players at the moment...

Can you ask Willie what the current situation is regarding the Bouzid brothers? Cheers.

What's happened to Manu? And Kevin Nade - why was he announced as having left when he's still here? Are you still looking for more players to come in? Are creative midfielders top of your list?
