Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

team preview - Brechin & East Fife 17/08/13

Brechin will be without defender Paul McLean through suspension following his dismissial on a challenge with Rangers forward Andrew Little last Saturday. Angus outfits also miss fellow defender Ewan Moyes(knee) but Ex-Dundee trainee defender Graham Hay and Ex-Rovers midfielder Allan Walker return for Ray Mackinnon's side, where he will also field midfielder Steven Robb ex-Dundee man into the team after he received his International clearance having played in thailand.
East fife have no new injurys or suspensions to worry about as they travel up north of dundee today but manager Willie Aitchison does have captain Craig Johnstone back into the team having missed last week defeat to rivals Dunfermline in the first game of the season.
The referee will be John McKindrick today.

Brechin have lost 2-1 to peterhead and lost 4-3 to stranrear before they played Rangers but if we keep it tight and score up here then we can take confendance home to play arbroath next week. Hopefully if we get a win then it will boost the players and take confendance, you know what a mean and my spelling is shocking. Get the first points to put up on the leauge table.
Going to Gelbe isn't easy place to go to as we saw last season a embrassing six nil score line that night but I hope things are different this season.
Come on the Fife!!

McBookie.com goalscorer odds. Fash to score last at 9/1 is tempting.
