Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

Dont think even Professor Stephen Hawking could answer that one mate!!

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

whats the latest on Adam and Ishmael Bouzid?

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

Been told Davidson is being loaned out to Berwick Rangers Reserves think they play in the east of Scotland league, maybe the manager could tell us if any others are being loaned out?

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

Moosari why?

Yeh thats the question i want answered too! All the supporters i hang about with are confused regarding his inclusion and signing.

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

The manager doesnt (& shouldn't)have to justify his team selection to anyone unless he wants to! If you start asking him about individual selections he may stop being so free with his info on other matters. Bottom line is he selected Cyrus Moosari in his starting eleven & we won the game.

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

With us being so short for midfield options - why are we looking to send Manu out on loan!?

Possibly not, but the fans are perfectly justified in asking such a question.
After all, they pay the wages!

Only part of the wages and indirectly. If we had no sponsors the wages would be much lower. Anyway, you are paying your gate fee to spectate, not to pay the players, just like when you buy your pie and bovril you are not paying the wages, you are buying and eating the pie and bovril, THAT is what you are paying for!
So no, you are not paying the wages and are not entitled to ask such a question, therefore don't be surprised if it isn't answered.

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

I agree with what you're saying.

Maybe the question is better phrased...

What qualities do you see Cyrus bringing to the team? and have you been to your local specsavers anytime lately?

Stop being so pedantic.
In summary "the fans pay the wages". No fans = no wages.

Perfectly reasonable question to ask.

Okay, so you think that the Chelsea fans for example pay the wages then, not Abramovich and the sponsors? Do you think that Chelsea could pay the wages just from the gate income? Do you think that someone who pays £13 to get into Bayview automatically has the right to question the managers selection? Getting back to Chelsea, do you think a fan who pays whatever he does to get into Stamford Bridge has the right to question Mourinho's selections. For me, I think Abramovich is the only guy who has that right! At Bayview, I would say that right, is Lee Murray's right and not someone's who is anonymous and parts with the grand sum of £13 every other week. So, don't be surprised if your question is not answered.

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

How is Dutot and Campbell doing? will they be fit for sat ? stonie too ?

Are bouzid brothers coming back ?

Is Christian nade staying? how long till he be able to pull on jersey?

Are you enjoying the challenge willie aitch ?

I heard were playing 3 up-front on Saturday at ibrox any comment on this ?

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

Why are some players being signed on 6 month contracts, what are the benefits? Don't we risk having a very light squad come January?

Re: questions for Bayveiw bites

Lots of valid questions but a few that have already been answered by the gaffer. Hope we don't abuse this service by giving him huge lists of similar questions every week.
