Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

be good if we can be kept up to date with how the loan players are doing, if anyone is at games they are playing in.

Yep Manu on loan Ballingry. Young keeper at Hill o Beath there are a couple o others out. I heard Manu doing very well for Ballingry not seen him.

Also young keeper doing well, not much to do in yesterdays game but top class save as described to me by a Beath supporter.

Ball sat up striker caught it sweet flying into top corner and the lad starts to celebrate, only to see young lad get up top corner turn it round the post. Striker then jogs in nodding his head and very sportingly high fives the keeper for the save. That in its self would suggest it was decent. Any other Beath supporters who were at the game verify if you can please.

meeting a pal who was at Ballingry game will try get an update I believe there is another EF player on loan there too.

Re: Manu

Was at Ballingry v Hill o Beath yesterday.
Former fifers Lee Bryce (Ballingry), Craig Smart and Gareth Wardlaw (HOB)were playing.

Manu started for Ballingry, but came off after an hour with an injury. He was very quiet during his time on the park. Don't know if it was the heavy rain, but he never looked like he wanted to be involved. Serri (the other loanee was an unused sub.

Connor Shaw was an unused sub for HOB. Think he will struggle for game time, as Stuart Hall, HOB goalie, is one of the best keepers at that level.
Hill o' Beath won 3-1.

Re: Manu

Watched a lot of the Junior game Hall is decent yes, but one of the best, never in a month of Sunday's. my opinion only. Watched young lad a few times last season and twice at HOB never put a foot wrong. I wouldn't expect EF to let him stay if he not playing as he will no doubt be there for experience, not sitting down.
