Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Should he stay or should he go?

Was always willing to stick by him as he is an inexperienced manager who has good ideas on playing decent football and comes across well in interviews .....BUT....results don`t lie and 1 win in 8 is dreadful. Last week we had 3 games against teams below us in the league and games we looked to take 7 points at least from. We have now played 2 of these games with 2 defeats. What really worries me is that we have hardly created any chances in these games. 2 attempts today? 2 attempts last week?
A lot of people are buying into the "new East Fife" but won`t stick around if the continuation of poor results continue.

I`m feeling Aitchison is out of his depth at this level and sadly a draw or a defeat next week should seal his fate. Lee Murray and East Fife need a successful team on the park to continue the feel good factor and presently this isn`t happening.

Re: Should he stay or should he go?

keep him the best thing that's happened for years.

Re: Should he stay or should he go?

Keep him he's ever worse that Anelka was at Raith.

Re: Should he stay or should he go?

I think he should be given half a season to prove himself and the board a season to do the same. as hard as it is to watch just now we are by no means done for yet. a couple of wins and we are back in it .
