Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

That was a decent team effort today, and a special mention to Liam Buchanan and Stonie for their work rate they led by example. A much better shape to the team with a 442 formation. The difference was in the centre of midfield with stonie and Brown giving us a bit of dig. Mcbride gave us width and put in a decent shift. We got a couple of breaks with the deflected goal, and we had some last ditch scrambling of the goal line. We hit the woodwork 3 times and should have had the game won by half time. We defended well as a team and Thom and Campbell look a decent pairing. Lets hope that was the break we needed and we keep on improving with a settled team and formation. A big relief to be of the bottom even at this early stage of the season. Looked like a great team spirit and the boys really fought hard for each other. Stennie next their confidence would have been battered today.

Much better display today and should have been game over by HT.
Airdrie improved second half and came close on a couple of occasions.
Both teams struggling to get the breaks in front of goal and could have been a high scoring match. Overall a well deserved and spirited win.
Excellent performances from Buchanan and McBride.

Much much better today loads of chances, Liam was outstanding and should have been mom stoney gave us more energy in mid gary thom did well as did stevie just need to convert the chances we made airdrie look terrible in first half so well done to the manager and the team, once again liam was top class and to see a boy put that sort of a shift in for us is fantastic thats the level we need.

Thought it was going to be 6 or 7 but getting the 3 points was the most important thing. Liam B was fantastic. Quiet on here tonight.

Aye...could have been out of sight and coasting. But just didn't work out that way. So can understand the the team defending the 1-0.
A few outstanding performances today, well done!!! Keep it up.
To be fair Airdrie resorted to the punt up the middle and had run out of ideas.

Liam was fantastic today,and was my MOM but Stoney wasn't far behind him in my opinion.
