Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Quiet

I was wondering why it was so quiet on here tonight? Last week because we got beat everyone likes to have a go but no one wants to come on and praise the team after today. Thought it was an excellent performance and should have been out of sight by half-time, might need to work on our finishing. Everyone played well especially Ross Brown we are a much better team when he is in the side, also great work-rate from Stonie and Liam.

Thoughts?

Re: Quiet

we got a bit of luck today which we are due .we also had chances to finish the game .lets get fired up and win the next game come on.

Re: Quiet

Players work rate was really good today.
Yes, could have been out of sight and passing the ball for fun for the last 15 mins.
442 seems to work. Would like to see us getting some breathing space in a game. Finger nails are bleeding.
Next week will be a tough ask and we'll have to be up for it.

Re: Quiet

A good performance from all the players.
Mcbride worthy of the m.o.m reall;y digged hard all game and can see a real improvement in his game this season .....Is that maybe due to the more modern coaching practices now in place at bayview ?

Who can say for sure eh ?

But at least we now have a starting 11 we can build on that. the 5-6 changes each week must now be a thing from the past

Was pleased to see what I and many others had been calling for for weeks - a goalie in goals, defenders in defence, midfielders in midfield and strikers up front!

...Well, perhaps with the exception of the last 5 minutes when we ended up with Mbu in midfield.

Re: Quiet

I thought moosavi looked good when he come on.
